Boulogne-Billancourt (France), 7 July 2022 (5:45 pm) – FDJ is pleased to announce that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Aleda in order to acquire this specialist in point-of-sale (PoS) systems and processing solutions.
Aleda operates in more than 2,500 points of sale in France, providing PoS systems for tobacconists and newsagents, secure web portals for prepaid services and money transfers for the general public, as well as innovative management and payment services for retailers.
Since it was founded in 2005, Aleda has established itself as one of the leading players in the field of PoS systems and proprietary electronic transaction platforms for local businesses, in particular those in the bar/tobacconist/newsagent network, and is a privileged partner to suppliers offering prepaid services, money transfers and other complementary products.
Aleda has nearly 100 employees in France, working at its sites in Limoges, Challans and Montpellier.
This planned acquisition is in line with the development strategy of FDJ’s Payment and Services business and reinforces the Group’s commitment to support retailers by offering them value-added services to help them manage and develop their points of sale.
The completion of this transaction is subject to the standard conditions precedent, including authorization from the French Competition Authority.
